The Father has blessed us with incredible mental, physical and spiritual abilities so that we might live a good life for his glory. But we are sometimes surprise and even angry when we don’t see men, women, young men and young women in our families, neighborhoods, communities and nations using those qualities divinely imparted unto us to live the life they were meant to live.

Based on that fact we think that there is something wrong. Of course there is. Have we not been taught? We think we have been taught and we are still being taught even today and now. The advance in technologies and communication systems make education easier than what it was 50, 60 years ago. Thus Education hasn’t failed, Technology has not failed. Some will blame the system. But the system has not failed either. There is something deeper than the structure and system developed by man. It is our heart. It is us who have failed.

The carnal man. The sinful heart of man is the root of all evil. It all began with a thought: “I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” We all remember the story. Being proud, self-centered and self-conscious is what brought us to where we are today and we don’t want to acknowledge that. We don’t want to admit that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

But there have never been a disease, a sickness or a pain. There has never been a sin that is genuinely confessed that our Father will not forgive, “thou your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool”.

Yes it is about confessing, “If we confess your sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Even If you did not have a chance to confess, you will still be redeemed, for “God commanded his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” If all of this was not true, then we would have been deceived and we would have been the most miserable people in the world. But I would confront the Word that says, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” What confidence do we then have here? Total confidence. Then I can trust Him. I can “trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

I must trust His love, His grace, His forgiveness, His power. I must trust His Word, for “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life” and we want to say constantly “sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth,.”

The truth of the Word should not be considered as a reason not to think with God. In the contrary the Father calls us “now come let us reason together.” We want to think and ask questions and meditate.

What should we do now that we have acknowledged our wrong? Simply confess. That’s one of the hardest think we will ever hear someone easily say. In addition to the confession, we want to ask the Father to forgive us and we want to forsake our sinful ways and let Jesus Christ “come into him, and will sup with him, and he with me” At the very turning point of our lives we have persistently continued to turn down the offer of the Father to “come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” because we think we have time.

We think we have time to figure everything out intellectually. And when we think we have apprehended the truth another vacuum erupt larger than the first one and finally jump up and we say: No, later. Not now. And before it is too late, “later” has never showed up.

Wouldn’t be good to learn that “now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation?” and that we should “work while it is still the day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” Further we don’t hold the future, but our Father does. Therefore I’d rather make a decision now than later, for the sake of the eternity. Better now, than later: your decision now defines your eternity.
