Jesus Christ is the central figure of Christianity.He was born in Bethlehem in Judaea. He was divinely conceived by Mary, the wife of Joseph, a carpenter of Nazareth. Joseph and Mary had gone to comply with the Roman edict of enrolment for census. The great majority of Christians believe Jesus to be the incarnate Son of God.
The name Jesus is derived from a Greek rendering of the Hebrew name Joshua.The name is stated in full as Yehoshuah ("Jehovah is deliverance"). The title Christ is derived from the Greek christos, a translation of the Hebrew mashiakh ("anointed one"), or Messiah. "Christ" was used by early followers of Jesus.They regarded Him as the promised deliverer of Israel. Jesus is regarded as the Redeemer of all humanity.
Matthew 2:13-23 describes the flight into Egypt, when Joseph and Mary took the child out of reach of the Judaean king Herod the Great. Only Luke relates the compliance of Joseph and Mary with the Jewish law. It required the circumcision and presentation of the first-born son at the Temple in Jerusalem (Luke 2:21-24). Luke 2:41-51 describes Luke `s later journey with the young Jesus to the Temple for the Passover feast.
The life and teachings of Jesus were often matters for dispute.Many varying interpretations in Christian history emerged.Beliefs about Jesus and his role had to be regularized.This had to assist in conversions and to answer those Christians who adopted views unacceptable to Church leaders. The precise nature of Christ created the existence of the discipline known as Christology. The life of Christ lead to traditions later being coalesced around various events in His life.
Many people believe in Jesus as a religious way of life.They go to church and cry their eyes out praying and repenting. They confess their sins and ask for forgiveness every day.They pray, "Jesus, I know and believe that You died on the Cross for me. Yes, I believe."They actually bring confusion upon themselves.Clearly, they misunderstand the Bible verse of 1 John 1: 9. It states that God will forgive our sins when we confess them.He is a faithful and just God.
They claim that they should be forgiven for their sins every day through their confession of sins. The sins mentioned in 1 John 1: 9 does not mean trivial everyday transgressions. What the passage means is that we are forgiven for our sins once and for all when we confess that we have not yet been saved.
Dear Christians, the truth is clear. We should believe in both the baptism of Jesus and His blood. Every Christian must believe that his sins were passed on to Jesus through His baptism at the Jordan and His death on the Cross .Do you know how much people still suffer from their sins? It started from the time of Adam and Eve.
Mankind suffers from the sins inherited from Adam.God made a covenant (Genesis 3:15).The covenant was that He would deliver all sinners. He said that humans would be redeemed of their sins through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ by the water and the Spirit. God sent our Savior, Jesus, to live among us.He also promised to send John the Baptist ahead of Jesus and He kept His promise.
The birth of Jesus lead to the cut off of the shackles of sin for all people. Those people who still have a hard time under sin are slaves of sin.His redemption made it possible that our sins could be cut off absolutely. He removed all our sins. Is there anyone who still suffers from sin? Our warfare against sin has ended. We shall never suffer in sin again. Our bondage to sin ended when Jesus redeemed us with His baptism and blood. The Son of God has expiated all our sins.
