Gods Letter for Parents!
by
Shaila D Touchton
Dear Parents,
Behold children are a heritage from the LORD. The fruit of the womb is
His reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of
one's youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They
shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.
Psalm 127:3-5
For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his
own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives
worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory. 1 Thessalonians
2:11-12
And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as
sons: “My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not
lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those he
loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son. Hebrews 12:5-6
My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline and do not resent his
rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son
he delights in. Proverbs 3:11-12
Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on
your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children,
talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the
road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 11:18-19
Sons are a heritage from the Lord , children a reward from him. Like
arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one’s youth. Blessed
is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their enemies in the gate. Psalms 127:3-5
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude
of sins. 1 Peter 4:8
Must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with
proper respect. 1 Timothy 3:4,5
Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish him with the rod,
he will not die. Punish him with the rod and save his soul from death.
Proverbs 23:13-14
Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than
one who takes a city. Proverbs 16:32
He who robs his father and drives out his mother is a son who brings
shame and disgrace. Proverbs 19:26
These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

party to his death. Proverbs 19:18

turn from it. Proverbs 22:6
Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.

Discipline your son, and he will give you peace; he will bring delight
to your soul. Proverbs 29:17
He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers
harm. Proverbs 13:20
Fear the Lord and the king, my son, and do not join with the rebellious,
for those two will send sudden destruction upon them, and who knows what
calamities they can bring? Proverbs 24:21-22
A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grief to his
mother. Proverbs 10:1

will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous
right hand. Isaiah 41:10
But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger,
rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Colossians
3:8
My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen,
slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring
about the righteous life that God desires. James 1:19-20
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the
truth. 3 John 4
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the
training and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4

and sound in faith, in love and in endurance. Titus 2:2

children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be
kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign
the word of God. Titus 2:3-5

open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. Titus 1:6
For I told him that I would judge his family forever because of the sin
he knew about; his sons made themselves contemptible, and he failed to
restrain them. 1 Samuel 3:13
Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is
stupid. Proverbs 12:1

heart. Proverbs 20:30
