I see the work of Your great hand in mountains and the
sea
And wonder how so great a God could love someone like me.
At times I get so homesick just to see my Saviour’s face
And how I long to thank You for Your wondrous gift of grace.
I wait for your appearing as I watch the eastern shore
And hope that this might be the day that I’ve been longing for.
I scan the skies and pray that your dear image I will see;
I listen for that trumpet sound that you’ve come back for me.
Until that day, I’ll do the work you’ve chosen me to do
And ask that as I kneel in prayer, my spirit you’ll renew.
I’m waiting for You to return as You have promised me
To take me back to be with You for all eternity. |
